ANARC
Cardiff University
AANARC are recognised for the work they do creating a safe space for LGBTQ+ students interested in the ancient word. The awareness raising campaigns, socials and activities they organise all strive to create an LGBTQ+ inclusive environment with members providing feedback that they feel welcome and supported in their sexual and gender identities.
ANTI-HOMOPHOBIC, BIPHOBIC AND TRANSPHOBIC BULLYING COMMITTEE
La Sainte Union Catholic Secondary School
Nominated by one of the teachers at La Sainte Union, students have been recognised for the work they have done to normalise and help other students work towards the acceptance of their fellow Queer students. Work has focused on tackling fear amongst students and in providing a safe space for their gender diverse members to exist and relax.

Nominated in recognition of the work they do to provide safe spaces where young LGBTQ+ individuals can find solace, guidance and empowerment., whilst also bridging the gap between marginalised youth and the diverse resources they need to thrive. The group has placed significant effort into training and supporting their volunteers to guarantee that young LGBTQ+ people receive the comprehensive Relationships, Sex and Health Education they deserve.

Nominated in recognition of the fearless ways in which the group has tackled discrimination and misinformation experienced on campus, head on. They have worked hard to ensure everyone is included, taking into consideration safety and privacy for those students who might be discouraged from attending events as they are not yet out, as well as attending the events held by other societies to listen to and answer their questions in an attempt to educate.

After 4 years Warwick PLAN continues to build an inclusive and welcoming community hoping to support our members in authentically being themselves within and outside the workplace. As the UK’s first ever LGBTQ+ careers society they continue to use their platform to highlight a variety of queer voices across different career paths, and via the Warwick LGBTQ+ Careers Summit which has returned for its third year.
